According to the latest statistics of Shanghai Customs, in the context of the overall decline in imports, China’s imports from the participating countries of the Second China International Import Expo have achieved contrarian growth. In the first three quarters, imports totaled 3.09 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.8% over the same period last year. .

According to reports, the second China International Import Expo has a total of 64 participating countries, including 15 countries including Russia and France as the host country. The data shows that in the first three quarters, there were 94,000 enterprises with import records in China and participating countries, an increase of 6.3%.

Online shopping bonded and emerging trade mode imports increased rapidly. In the first three quarters, China imported 2.17 trillion yuan from the participating countries in the form of general trade, an increase of 8.7%, accounting for 70% of the total value of China's imports from participating countries. Among them, the import under the online shopping bonded trade mode of the cross-border e-commerce new business mode was 8.24 billion yuan, an increase of 40.3%.

In the first three quarters, 31 provinces in China have records of imports from participating countries. Among them, Beijing imported 603.18 billion yuan from the participating countries, an increase of 12.8%, accounting for 19.5%; Guangdong and Shanghai imported 398.14 billion yuan and 373.29 billion yuan respectively, up 3% and 1.2%, respectively, accounting for 12.9% and 12.1%.

In terms of imported goods, in the first three quarters, China imported 596.15 billion yuan of crude oil from participating countries, an increase of 13.8%, accounting for 19.3%, which is the largest category of imported goods; integrated circuits and iron ore and concentrates imported 183 billion yuan and 1696.1 respectively. 100 million yuan, an increase of 18.5% and 31.7%. In the same period, soybean imports were 141.68 billion yuan, down 4.4%.

Imports of consumer goods such as meat, seafood and cosmetics have grown rapidly. In the first three quarters, China's cumulative imports of consumer goods reached 320.52 billion yuan, an increase of 25.5%, accounting for 10.4%, and the proportion increased by 1.4 percentage points. Among them, meat and water and sea products were imported 42.38 billion yuan and 41.32 billion yuan respectively, up 58.9% and 66%; cosmetics imports were 21.12 billion yuan, up 47.1%; clothing imports were 21.03 billion yuan, up 10.8%.
